TYAGARAJA'S PANCHARATNAMS: Chitravina N Ravikiran

Tyagaraja, one of the Trinity composers of Carnatic music, composed a set of five compositions known as the "Pancharatna Kritis" (Five Gems). These kritis are considered masterpieces of Carnatic music and are revered for their musical brilliance, lyrical richness, and spiritual depth. They are sung in praise of Lord Rama, the principal deity of Tyagaraja's devotion, and are often performed as a set in concerts and music festivals.

Each Pancharatna Kriti is a musical masterpiece in its own right, showcasing Tyagaraja's mastery in melody, rhythm, and lyrical composition. These compositions are characterized by their intricate raga elaboration, intricate rhythmic patterns (tala), and profound philosophical themes.
