NARAYANA TEERTHA: Shri Malladi Ravikumar

Narayana Teertha (17th century) was a prominent composer and philosopher in the field of Indian classical music, particularly in the Carnatic tradition. He is best known for his composition called "Krishna Leela Tarangini," a collection of 12 musical operas known as "tarangams," which depict various episodes from the life of Lord Krishna. Each tarangam consists of songs, dialogues, and dance sequences, making them unique and dynamic compositions in the Carnatic music repertoire.

A workshop on compositions of Narayana Teertha was conducted by Vidwan Malladi Ravikumar, where he taught the tarangams given below: Notations and full audio renditions of the songs are included.
